As one says, we need to build up our pipelines. But usually one needs to be patience, and try his way constantly to move forward, and upward. In a career start, it will could take someone to have 8 to 10 jobs, before stabilising permanently in one job. But no matter what job, I think satisfaction is the most important. Job satisfaction and good collegues and bosses will likely make you stay as long as you can. But ultimately after staying too long, and when one has no lack of savings or spending which could last for some time being, one would eventually resign to seek a more meaningful life. A case where one resigned from his career for 30 over years, and then went to a poorer country to teach english has been heard. I am very sure there were more cases like this. Sometimes heaven has a plan for us, sometimes, heaven may give us the liberty to choose.
I choose to build the pipeline of career following the normal years, and accumulating the exeperience, as this is beyond my control. However, I can accelerate my academic status within the years while i build my career pipeline with accumulating years of work experience. Accelerating academic status is under my control, therefore i choose to hit the 'Accelerate button'. While performing normally or nothing deemed out of the norm from my daily routine career job, i am taking chances of life long learning, continuously taking up courses and workshops etc, despite having completed my degree.
The true fact will be that taking up courses could as well be my hobby. As i am starting my CIDTT course, i am also gradually taking the ACTA(Adv Cert in Training & Assessment) modules. When my CIDTT completes early next year, there will come my MEd. The MEd programme may be my last academic career path to a master degree. If there were to be a DBA or PHD, it will need to take my natural ability to decide at much later part of the years, because achieving all these ultimately needs to serve good purposes.
In my point of taking the CIDTT, it can help enhance me as a private teacher and trainer to conduct any forms of training, beyong academic, beyond skilled. It could also be sports and martial arts. CIDTT can be opposed to a Diploma in Education, or even a Post Graduate Diploma in Education offered by the NIE, MOE. CIDTT = Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers is a strong private qualification offered by the University of Cambridge international examination body, which deals with our O'level/A'level, allows one to get into the Master Degree in Education. However a CIDTT needs to be coupled with a Degree not relevant with Education, to be accepted.
Having an MEd, I would prefer to look into teaching and learning, or development of course syllabus and curriculum, or even lecturing freelance in future. Doing a job that could interact, nuture, and touches the lives of many, brings joy to my natural being. However certain goals needs that pipeline to be built, before the goals are reached. This is call the 'Process', and the objectives to reach the goals.
As I could plan certain thing, i may not foresee other hidden situations. Could i see that within two years of working in the same company, i will be able to rise up to a Senior executive, or even an assistant manager?
After finishing my Master of Education in mid 2013, will my rank not balance with my qualification that need to compel the company to move me up, if it was to be rightfully mine? If it does happened, it will have to. However if i am already a senior executive by then, the chance of an assistant manager at least, should be. Otherwise, i should jolly well accumulate my years and move on to a better position elsewhere, with better pay cheque, of course!
I am also getting married to my beloved girlfriend estimated to be from late 2013 to early 2014, if possible.
Nevertheless, plans could be plans, but the ultimate plans for us lies from the above. One could wish or pray for the above to grant us his blessings, or else he could change our thoughts and offer a different, but better alternatives.
