Night.

There are quite a few countries i may need to go next year, yet not too sure if it will happen. This is due to time, money and certain constraints.

Completed my ECU Bachelor of Communication at quarter 3 of this year, i am deciding if it would be viable to go over to Perth, Western Australia for the graduation ceremony. Of course, in going over there, there should be R & R for anyone going together with me.

Base on one of my company part time lecturer's advise, flying over to perth takes only 5 hours, as compared to my taking of flight to Brisbane around 15 years ago, which really took close to 20 hours.

It is not yet decided if my family members will go with me, or my friends and/or girlfriend will go with me yet. The local graduate ceremony will likely held at quarter 4 of next year, which will be deemed quite long.

The next country is Vietnam, HCM city. My former Security Colleagues had wanted me to go with them on a couple of occassions, but it seems like i have not been able to afford the time yet.

In the mid of June, my plan to Vegas, Nevada for Protections training have to be withheld, and kept in view, as i am awaiting responses from my former Security Khakis, whom most likely have to hold due to financial reasons. The most feasible choice to go there will be either by 2, or 4 people, as accomodation includes twin sharing, while transport and food will be provided.

Probably early next year, i need to go to China for family matter too. But likely this will happen, as it involves financial matters.

Sometimes, i am thinking of embarking into my own business if possible. Business could be F &B and self-defence. I am keen to bring in a Krav defence system, but had needed to check with the originator if it would be recognised like the other Krav systems.

....The continuous little sleep at most of the days make my mind felt deteriorated....and i need a couple of consecutive 'oversleep' to feel replenish. But when will this happen, i shall not imagine first. Hopefully, my brain processor can really re-accelerate, or let God's miracle make it happened.

Time is always productive for me. I have no time to slack, for the past 6 months. It is work, pc, courses, meeting my girlfriend, and family. Probably once awhile, would catch up with a couple of friends to keep track of their happenings or situation.

....The reservist for next year and the IPPT will pose some hinderance to me. Yet, i would take them as an enjoyment rather, than to fawn at them. The reservist will be on 14 February 2011, Valentine's day, and it is my first valentine day with her. Wow, what a humour from heaven.

Heaven does bring humours to mankind. Do observe it in your life, and you can see many, either subtle or obvious.

As a PR and communication personnel, sometimes i do think that going into the related industry is worthwhile, although it would mean a career learning journey for me, if there is an opportunity. Organising events and communications tools for marketing purposes will really be interesting amongst many other functions that needed skills such as web, photo and video. The only imbalance is that communication student sshould have been taught technical skills of media related pheripherals, such as photoshops, deamweaver, and photo-editing, than to fully do analytical research and verbal communications. Because in executing marcom, technical skills are also essential, although not imperative. If to be fully trained in Mass Communication, PR and the Media would likely be the focus.

....Always in love with self-development, i am going for photoshop course early next year, and perhaps TEFL, for teaching of english.

I would love to be somekind of teacher, instructor, and in future, a trainer and lecturer, and best of all, having my own business all concurrently.

I would really like to be someone who can touch the lives of many people. Contributing to the community and the society is a must. I must have no fear in facing or dealing with anyone, not even my own boss. This way, i am able to be myself, and feel myself.

Moving forward, i hope that i have enough time to experience all the things in my life that i need to experience, even in job wise, perhaps to try out a couple of industries, or stay at one as long as possible, if there is opportunity for growth and monetary increment too.

Long Weekend.

Nice one, the day at work was fine.

As initiated days ago by myself, our department had an outing again. This time, we went to watch Piranha 3D, in non 3D format. Lol. Illuma Filmgarde has no 3D. During lunchbreak, the few of us went together to buy the movie tixs, and had our lunch at Subway. After work, we hung around at Bugis, while waiting for Diana, and then went over to catch the movie. Movie was good, fun but gross, with violent blood and gore, showing naked ladies with sexy boobs, and bitten endlessly and violently by the prehistoric breed of Piranhas. It is an R21 movie anyway.

Went to eat dinner at "Fish Market' after. We were joking about fishes, as the 3 of us, Gabriel, Diana and myself were all Pisces. Our manager Kelly's boyfriend Wayne(also one of our Manager colleague), is also nicknamed as 'Fish' during his time when he was seated inside a glass office. Although that was too much of fishes, we take it as humour and jokes perpetually.

After having a full, but not so outstanding meal and services by the 'fish' restaurant, we headed back home for retirement. It was quite a long day after office hours, and we had movie and dinner, as a form of our informal team bonding for our small department. It was just for fun, once again.

Went back text and called WH, my girlfriend to find out how was she. She sounded asleep, when i called. And then we are to meet up today for another movie. So will be meeting her soon.

Today's a normal day at work. A sensitive me will rate a day as 7.5 out of 10 today.

My former Marketing Dip classmate, Joanne came to my office to collect her cheque, and we went for lunch break. We had vegetarian food at FLS complex, because today's 15th, she said. I'm getting to like her more, as a friend. Saw her to bugis mrt, before going back to work.

Evening's trip to Orchard Plaza to hunt for a thai disco has been cancelled. Was a little disappointed with my friend Wj, and J, for cancelling.

At night:

I'm just addicted to studies. It's most probably because of my aspiration to gain high academic status, the hunger and greed to achieve the status. And probably because of my 'Feng Shui', 'Confucius' and 'Zhuge Liang' statues in my study desk.

I cannot take it, i am going to study a Master. I have been researching on which is my most viable Master degree course since last November. Eventually i found it, a new MEd. Apart from that, ACTA and TESOL will buff up my dream career. To be a total overall of a Trainer, Instructor, Teacher, Lecturer, Coach, Tutor, Educator, and a Facilitator.

The dream is with $$$$$, i shall make it happen.

Review on Bachelor of Communications(Communication Management)

On the verge of graduating from the Bachelor of Communications (Communication Management), i would like to give a personal review on this course.

In fact, this is unique communication course offered by ECU (or Edith Cowan University) which gives a good coverage of the overall focus in communications related.

Some of the key words and values that i could described from studying this course are 'PR(Public Relations)', 'Marcom(Marketing Communications)', 'Branding', 'Rhetoric', 'Marketing', 'Power of Persuasions', 'Communication skills', 'Advertising','Employee relations', 'Corporate Social Responsibilities' and 'Crisis Management'.

You see, in the business world, having good communication skills are really important to serve effective disseminations of messages, and to build good employee relations, producing high morale and relationships among employees to employees, and employees to their bosses. As said, better morale workers are better workers. And getting along well with one another at work will nevertheless help in the commitment towards a job.

With a good Corporate Social Responsibility message or activity from the Company, it will not just uphold it's current good image towards the public, but also enhances it (if there are CSR activities to be organized). Good PR will contribute to a company's profitability in long run. The study of PR can also make those in the organizations more ethical in their businesses.
All these values can be learnt through the study of PR modules offered by the programme.

In identifying our own images, or selling ourselves towards the job market, having good branding of ourselves is essential. Strategic branding module helps us identify our missions and objectives towards a job, or just from within ourselves. It also helps us find our values. In identifying all these, we could then brand ourselves in a clearer aspect. We would also more likely be able to brand our own desired image towards the public, and anyone around us. I would say that this is a hip module to study. It will increase your image power and identifying yourself better. It will let you transform yourself to who or what you want to be.

In communication management modules, it covers every elements of things from linguistic to the power of persuasions and negotiations. Rhetoric, the use of effective communications is also one of the very powerful tools or techniques we can get from these modules. Study them well and you could be the next Obama.

Although marketing is lesser in this original course, Marcom has been taught in these course. The marketing tools to communicate a campaign or sales effectively are definitely useful in communicating with the stakeholders, to bring out the best of the messages. Whereas marketing itself is a more comprehensive coverage of Consumer behaviour, marketing research, marketing management and etc.

Advertising has also been taught in this course, but lesser than what mass communications degree course will offer. However, this communication degree has an Advertising module in International aspect, which the element of modules in international aspects are usually cultural studies and global issues.

Apart from some of the modules mentioned, there are also other marketing modules(as electives or bridging) and also modules like Media in Asia, foundations for PR and advertisings related.

In all these, some would say that this degree i am taking is a business + communication related degree (which one may also call this a business communications degree). I would deem it as a good mix of business, communications, marketing, advertising, and of course, Public Relations related degree which PR could be the most prominent focus in this case. Ultimately, i would still simplify it's calling to a 'Communication degree'.

In the Corporate world, i guess in the execution of PR crisis communications-management plan, this role requires someone to be specialised at it (as not many can do it). With someone who is a PR person, this job roles is a high level job for him/her. In academic wise, this person should be a degree level person. Because when there is a crisis in a company, the company is at stake, especially when having it's image towards the public. What's worst is that the media will be involved. And any wrong words or expression communicated will be broadcasted to the world or nation on screen, which consequences could be dire. And to be a spoke person or someone handling the media, requires a head of the company, which is usually the CEO, in most cases. Therefore for a CEO to be well prepared in PR issue is imperative, or his next PR staff to advise him must be someone high in level, such as a PR manager, or even a PR director.

I rate this course as 7.5 out of 10, and i still give a thumbs up, because of it's strong PR focus and the elements of powerful communications from Communication management modules.

If you take whatever course that is fine to you, set your mindset to say 'I love it', and you will nevertheless love it.

Great god. I do advise one who at least believe in God, but not literally a christian, to talk to God verbally in your quiet time. It helps. The minimum u can even do is to play some Lord's music in your room, or hymn a tune of Christ. You could feel the effect of goodness somehow traverse around you. Although the effect may be subtle, it is your faith that God sees and decide to bring you the degree of effects.

Anyway, i'm glad that a new career has found me. This time, i must put it to good use, and cherish what i have been granted, without much sweat, when compare to others. Heaven is siding me now. The only challenge i need to conquer is my sleep. And a dateline to meet, for the corporate communication assignment.

Got to force an owl to become a good early bird though. Melatonin or Dormicum will need come to my aid. And the Lord will aid me through the night these couple of days, for my assignment.
